Luhono Acceptable Use Policy

Effective September 1, 2026

On this page

  1. Luhono is a privacy-first product
  2. Use your Assistant freely
  3. Never use your Assistant to
  4. It is an assistant, not infrastructure
  5. Protecting minors
  6. If this policy is violated
  7. Reporting abuse

This policy says what you may not use your Luhono Assistant to do. It is short because the rules are simple: obey the law, don't harm people, and respect other people's privacy the way we respect yours.

Luhono is a privacy-first product

This Acceptable Use Policy will look different from those from other online assistant companies because Luhono believes your privacy is not the price of enforcement. Luhono’s product is designed so:

  • We do not have the ability to read the conversations between you and your Assistant.
  • Your data is encrypted with keys you hold.

Therefore, enforcement of the Acceptable Use Policy is based on evidence that reaches us lawfully: abuse reports from people you affect, legal process, and conduct that is visible outside your assistant, like spam or attacks on other systems.

Use your Assistant freely

Your assistant works for you and is free to perform functions such as:

  • Automating life’s tasks like scheduling and scripting, and letting your assistant act on its own within the bounds you set.
  • Managing your own systems, devices, accounts, and data.
  • Running your assistant as much as you like, hands on or hands off.
  • Investigating how it is built, learning how it works, and making it yours.

Automation or unattended use of your Assistant is welcome as long as it is acting in your interest and complies with this Acceptable Use Policy.

Never use your Assistant to

  • Break the law. Nothing illegal, in your jurisdiction or ours.
  • Harm people. No violence, no threats, no inciting others to violence, no helping anyone hurt themselves.
  • Harm children. No sexual content involving minors. The grooming, trafficking and exploitation of children are strictly prohibited. All indications of child harm will be reported to the authorities.
  • Violate other people's privacy. We value every individual’s privacy equally, and expect our Users to do the same. Do not use your assistant to surveil, stalk, track or harass another person, or to collect private information about someone without their consent.
  • Impersonate or deceive. Do not pass your assistant off as a specific real person, and do not use it to defraud, phish, forge, or run scams.
  • Attack systems that are not yours. No unauthorized access, no malware and no denial-of-service attacks regardless of you initiating or enabling. Your assistant can manage your systems, not break into someone else's.
  • Flood other people. No spam, no robocalls, no mass unsolicited messages or broadly any unwanted solicitations.
  • Build weapons. No developing biological, chemical, nuclear or radiological weapons, or explosives meant to harm people.

It is an assistant, not infrastructure

Your Luhono subscription is a license to use our software-as-a-service for you and your household. It is not a purchase of raw computing to strip for parts. Do not:

  • Pipe queries through your assistant to use it as a discount inference engine, wrap it in an API, or resell its answers as a service
  • Turn it into a bulk gateway for anything: email, texts, calls, posts. If the point is volume instead of help, it is not assistant use
  • Use its computing, storage or network as a file locker for mass distribution, a mining rig, a proxy for hiding traffic, a scraping farm or a content mill
  • Share one assistant across many people. One assistant serves one customer and their household
  • Probe, bypass or break our metering, limits or security controls

Your license to Luhono is intended for personal use, not as a machine room.

Protecting minors

Luhono accounts are for adults. If minors in your household interact with your assistant, you are responsible for that use, and this policy applies to it.

If this policy is violated

Luhono’s response to a violation is proportional to the harm. That can mean a warning, restrictions on your account, or, for serious or repeated violations, termination. Because we cannot read your conversations, we will tell you what conduct triggered our response, and an appeal can be filed at support@luhono.com.

Reporting abuse

If someone is using a Luhono Assistant to harm you or someone else, tell us at support@luhono.com. We take these reports seriously and each claim will be investigated.

This policy is part of the Luhono Terms of Service. It will change as the product and the law change; the current version always lives on our website.
